             I realize how late it is that 
  I'm writing to you for a small favor: 
  Our supply of velvet for replicating is 
  'way down, & none of the sort available
  in local shops is suitable. If you use
  velvet & get it in London could you bring [?]
  a sample of what you are using at the
  time in your lab??
             All's well here. Tomorrow after
  med faculty champagne party .  we are
  (Shoolers, Canns, Bodners) off for dinner
  Walter Bodmer now OK'd to apply for
  immigrant's visa. It was a real cliff-
  hanger. He thought he'd have to pack up
